Royal Wedding - All about the hats!!!
We all love a royal wedding. It’s a time when the country comes together and can be part of a real life fairytale.
Last week we saw the marriage of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brookbank, held at St George's Chapel, Windsor. Didn't the Princess look beautiful in her Peter Piloto and Christopher de Vos wedding dress. The stunning Greville Emerald tiara, which she borrowed from the Queen, really complemented the dress.
Unfortunately, Storm Callum had arrived so many guest had to hold on to their hats and a few even blew off and had to be chased down the cobbled streets.
If your anything like me, the one thing I look forward to seeing are the various fashions worn by the guests and especially the array of hats and fascinators on show.
Here are my top 3 hats of the day
Duchess of Cambridge is definitely in the top 3. She looked elegant in a magenta pink dress, complemented by a gorgeous velvet hat trimmed with silk flowers and netting. A beautiful colour for an autumnal wedding and really complimented her skin tone.
Naomi Campbell - her flamboyant hat was one of the grandest at the wedding and stayed in place perfectly. It was created by British milliner Philip Treacy.
Ayda Field - looked elegant in her monochromatic suit and matching Philip Treacy hat. Yes, some may say she made a fashion faux pax wearing off white to a wedding, but hey she looked great.
There is nothing like a royal wedding to get people talking about hats and fashion statements. I am already looking forward to the next royal event.
